Mastoiditis
Mastoiditis is inflammation of the mastoid air cells. Due to anatomical continuity with middle ear cleft, most cases with acute otitis media (AOM) have mastoiditis. Chronic mastoiditis most commonly is associated with cholesteatoma formation.
