Endometrial cancer, accounts for about 90% of uterine cancers.. Adenocarcinoma, accounts for approximately 90% of cases of endometrial cancer. Adenocarcinomas are more common during perimenopause and usually are associated with an early onset of symptoms. . Chronic exposure to oestrogen increases the risk for developing the disease and oestrogen often affects tumour growth. Early uterine cancer usually is asymptomatic (Abnormal vaginal bleeding is the most common symptom. Advanced uterine cancer may cause weight loss, loss of appetite, and changes in bladder and bowel habits. Vaginal Ultrasonography is an useful: investigation. Endometrial biopsy is used to diagnosis uterine cancer. It provides an accurate diagnosis in 90% of cases. Treatment for uterine cancer depends on the stage of the disease and the overall health of the patient. Surgical resection is the primary treatment. A total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is done. Surgery may be performed through the abdominal or transvaginally Radiation therapy, hormone therapy, and/or chemotherapy may be used as adjuvant treatment in patients with metastatic or recurrent disease.
