Serum (Tumour) markers
Serum (Tumour) markers are specific substances present in the blood/ urine of patients that help in the detection and monitoring of cancers. These tumour markers are sensitive to the type of the cancer and being non-invasive makes them superior to other examinations based on physical methods. They are generally used for screening, staging of cancer, to evaluate the success of treatment, to detect recurrence and to monitor response to therapy.
