Serology

It s the branch of laboratory medicine concerned with serum, especially with specific immune or lytic serums; to detect/ measure either antigens or antibodies in sera.

Few of the common serological tests are RA test, Widal test, C Reactive Protein, Hepatitis B Surface antigen and other Hepatitis B markers, Antibodies against HIV 1 & 2, VDRL, TORCH, ASLO titre, Malarial antigen.
