Cancer chemotherapy - Adverse effects
The ideal drug for cancer chemotherapy that would target and destroy only the cancer cells has not yet been discovered. Traditional chemotherapy, which damages cell DNA, kills many normal cells in addition to cancer cells. It is said that more cancer patients die of side effects of chemotherapy then the disease itself. Leucopenia, hair fall and nausea/ vomiting are the commonest side effects encountered.
