Prostate cancer (Ca prostate) is the second-most common cause of cancer-related death in men in USA. Men with one first-degree relative with Ca prostate have a two-fold increase in risk. Digital palpation and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) determination are used to exclude prostate cancer in patients suffering from prostate hyperplasia or with urinary tract infection. Identify metastatic prostate cancer as a possible cause of bony pain. The treatment options include radical prostatectomy, radiotherapy and hormonal manipulation.
