Gait Disturbances
The various types of abnormal gait seen are scissors gait, spastic gait, steppage gait and waddling gait.
Causes could be alcoholism, polyradiculitis,poliomyelitis, parkinsons disease, normal pressure hydrocephalus triad [NPH triad], lacunar infarcts, subdural hematomas, paraparesis,cauda equina syndrome. Most are managed by exercise, leg braces and shoe splints.
