Electroencephalography (EEG)
EEG (electroencephalography) is one of the objective, functional tests of the nervous system. There are no contraindications or age limitations. Antiepileptic medication is not discontinued prior to the test. Benzodiazepines, however, should be avoided before the test. Indicated in suspected epilepsy, encephalitis and rarely in delirium.
