Chorea
Chorea consists of repetitive, brief, jerky, large-scale, dancelike, uncontrolled movements that start in one part of the body and move abruptly, unpredictably, and often continuously to another. Huntington's disease is a progressive, hereditary movement disorder that appears in adults. Syndenham's chorea occurs in a small percentage of children and adolescents as a complication of rheumatic fever. There is no standard course of treatment for chorea. Treatment depends on the type of chorea and the associated disease.
