Lacrimal duct stenosis in an infant
About 2-5% of newborns have symptoms of lacrimal duct stenosis. 80% of stenosis are canalized spontaneously before the age of 8 months. Referral to a specialist is indicated only if symptomatic stenosis is present after the age of 6-8 months.
