Bronchiolitis
Bronchiolitis is the most frequent lower respiratory tract infection during infancy requiring hospitalization. It is an infectious, inflammatory disease of the upper and lower respiratory tract resulting in obstruction of the small airways. Severe symptoms are usually only evident in young infants. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the most commonly isolated agent. There is no effective treatment for bronchiolitis and approaches to therapy varies widely
