Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a set of techniques intended to improve mental health, emotional or behavioural issues of individuals, group, or family interactional climates. The term counselling is often used interchangeably with psychotherapy. Generally, counselling deals with ordinary every day problems and issues, while psychotherapy generally deals with deeper mental and emotional problems. The six main systems of psychotherapy are psychodynamic, cognitive, humanistic / supportive behavioural, brief therapy (sometimes called "strategic" therapy, solution focused brief therapy) and systemic therapy.
