Medical Etiquette and Medical Ethics
Medical ethics
The term medical etiquette and medical ethics are understood by convention as follows:
Medical ethics is the subject concerned with moral principles for the members of the medical profession in their dealing with each other, their patients, and the state. The aim is to honour and maintain the noble traditions of the medical profession. To give a few examples, a medical practitioner should not take charge of a patient who is under the care of another practitioner. He should not refuse to give professional service on the religious grounds. He must remember his duty to the state in relation to the notifiable diseases and to the public to give emergency care on humanitarian grounds.
