Trochanteric bursitis
Patients present with pain radiating both proximally and distally from the Trochanteric area or pain on walking. Palpation of the greater Trochanteric indicates the site of tenderness. The treatment of choice is an injection to the most painful site wherein corticosteroid 1 ml + 4 - 5 ml 1% lidocaine).is given. If the first injection does not alleviate pain, the treatment can be repeated after a few weeks.
