Wrist Ganglion Cyst

A ganglion is a gel-containing cystic structure attached to a joint or tendon sheath. As the amount of the gel-like contents increases, the ganglion becomes painful.

The fluid is identical to the normal fluid found within a joint or within a tendon sheath, but the fluid can become gelatinous over time.

Treatment is necessary only if the ganglion causes pain or other inconvenience.
